Nurses Night Out – November 12th, 2015
Kyle Vision Source hosted its “1st Annual Nurses Night Out” for the school nurses of Hays Consolidated Independent School District on Thursday, November 12, 2015. The premise of “Nurses Night Out” was to thank said nurses for sharing in the care of the children attending Hays CISD, and to provide education on eye conditions encountered most commonly in school-aged children.
Optometrists of Kyle Vision Source, Dr. Tony Jacob & Dr. Catherine Vuong covered topics regarding the most important findings to be on the lookout for during vision screenings, the dreaded “red eye,” recurring headaches in children, and when to consider referral to an Optometrist. School nurses in attendance care for the children of Barton Middle School, Jack C. Hays High School, Elm Grove Elementary School, Simon Middle School, Blanco Vista Elementary School and Live Oak Academy, just to name a few.
The nurses enjoyed a variety of amazing food generously donated by local eateries, including Little Caesar’s Pizza of Kyle, Chick-Fil-A of Kyle, Jersey Mike’s Subs of Kyle, Firehouse Subs of Kyle and Buda’s Tavern on Main. While enjoying food and wine, Kyle Vision Source graciously raffled off high-end designer sunglasses to three lucky winners, a small token of gratitude in return for such hard-working nurses of Hays CISD.
